About Pride

Pride started as a protest, and this year we have seen a great need to take a stand and say hands off our freedoms and liberties. So this pride, Sonoma Valley Pride is going to be bigger than ever. Why do we celebrate when pride is a protest? Because we need to embrace our queerness, our allies and our community to build awareness, strength, and unity. We are stronger together.  When times are tough, we need our friends, and we need to support one another as we fight for freedom. We must celebrate while we fight and this pride month, we will do both.
